Missoula man sought in apartment shooting arrested

Ian James Fiorino, the 19-year-old involved in a shooting outside a Missoula apartment complex in April, has been arrested and charged with attempted deliberate homicide.

Missoula police on Sunday also arrested Jennifer Hall, a 23-year-old who allegedly was in the car with Fiorino at the scene of the shooting. She is being held on suspicion of felony drug possession and obstructing justice, but has not appeared in court.

Prosecutors allege that on the morning of April 12, a 17-year-old girl called Fiorino and Hall to the apartment building on Milwaukee Way, asking them to serve as “backup” after she allegedly found a woman who had stolen drugs from her.

Fiorino allegedly approached two other cars in the parking lot, shooting at one woman who was sitting in her car. All of the people involved in the incident fled by the time officers arrived

Cory Kendall, the teenage girl's 43-year-old boyfriend, was previously arrested and charged in the incident. He has a new $50,000 warrant for his arrest after he posted bond and was released, then allegedly submitted a drug test that was positive for methamphetamine and stopped showing up for further tests.

On Monday, Acting Justice of the Peace David Steele set Fiorino's bail at $100,000. Prosecutor Mark Handelman requested the bail in part because he said Fiorino did not turn himself in to police when he knew there was a warrant out for his arrest.
