HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Willis Group, one of the fastest growing private companies, talent acquisition and professional service firms in the United States, announced the appointment of Chris Garner as Chief Information Officer and EVP of Shared Services for Willis Group of Companies, Matt Eckert as Executive Vice President of Business Development, and Michelle Wren as Executive Vice President of Delivery.

Chris Garner, CIO and EVP, Shared Services, brings an impressive leadership and organizational management background of over 30 years to Willis Group, including all aspects of leadership, team management/mentoring, software development, and IT management. Garner will be responsible for Information Technology, Human Resources and Accounting shared services.

Prior to joining Willis Group, Chris Garner held senior positions including Vice President of Product Development for Campus Management, Sr. Vice President for GT Software, managing all aspects of technology (R&D, QA, Product Management, Support and IT), Sr. Vice President, Engineering and IT for NEON and Vice President of R&D for Altra Energy (acquired by Sungard Energy). Garner was also the founder and CEO of Succinct Software, a DB2 specialty staffing and software vendor. Garner has appeared as a featured speaker and panelist at several conferences related to developing/managing/monitoring/mentoring high performance teams as well as database performance management. He is also the author of several articles on performance management and has championed several technology teams in developing patents, one in Online Energy Trading and another in Performance Modeling.

Garner attended the University of Houston and has recruited multiple candidates from the University of Houston into internship programs for IT. He is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Hospitality Committee.

Matt Eckert joins Willis Group as Executive Vice President of Business Development, North America for the Talent Acquisition Companies. Eckert will be responsible for all lines of business covering the Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Chicago markets.

Prior to joining Willis Group, Eckert was Principal at UHY Advisors leading their Resource Solutions Practice focused on talent management around technology, finance, accounting, and internal audit. Previously, Eckert was Managing Director in the Experis unit of ManpowerGroup responsible for managing technology sales, delivery and operations in the Houston Market.

Eckert received a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Breeders Greeters Committee, and a former co-chair of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Young Leaders Board.

Michelle Wren joins Willis Group as Executive Vice President of Delivery – Willis Group, Talent Acquisition Companies. Wren is a strategic leader who creates innovative workforce solutions for our valued partners and clients. She brings over 18 years of experience in the staffing industry specializing in the delivery of top talent in the Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, and Engineering verticals. Wren will be responsible for strategic performance optimization and recruiter productivity.

During her highly successful 16-year career in the Experis unit of ManpowerGroup, Michelle Wren pioneered the Leadership Development Program, understanding the tremendous value the foundation of great leadership team contributes to the success of a firm.
