Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan are among the country artists tapped to perform at the 2017 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The annual month-long event takes place March 7th - March 26th at RodeoHouston.
In a Facebook Live event broadcast on January 9th, artist and scheduled Rodeo performer Aaron Watson announced all of the event's headliners in front of a small audience of fans and press. Watson, whose new album Vaquero arrives February 24th, will lead off the first night on the Rodeo's famed rotating main stage, with artists like Alan Jackson, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Willie Nelson taking top billing in the ensuing days. Other main stage performers include Alicia Keys, the Chainsmokers and Fifth Harmony.
There will also be a smaller stage at the event's on-site honky tonk, the Hideout. Attendees can catch a number of up-and-coming artists from country and pop performing there over the course of the Rodeo.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was first held in 1931. Since then, the event has grown to become one of the largest live entertainment and livestock exhibitions in the world. Past performers at the Rodeo include Taylor Swift, George Strait, Garth Brooks and Bob Dylan.
