Faribault’s Scandinavian Club Speaker • 2 p.m., First English Church, 204 Second St. NW. The speaker will be Helen Aase of Kenyon who will speak on the Sami people of Northern Norway. All interest in the topic are welcome.

LittleBigRead at Buckham Memorial Library • 4-5 p.m. Reading buddies program for school-aged youth in the library’s Youth Activity Area. It is not a tutoring program.

Morristown American Legion hosts burger and wings night • 5-8 p.m., Burger and wings night will be held at the Morristown American Legion.

Annual President’s Volunteer Dinner for Rice County Fair • 6 p.m., The Rice County Fair will hold the annual President’s Volunteer Dinner Sep. 21 in the Beer Garden at the Fair Grounds. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. with a chicken dinner served at 7 p.m. from the Broaster of Faribault.

Monthly meeting for Cannon Valley Civil War Roundtable • 6 p.m., The Cannon Valley Civil War Roundtable will hold its Monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21. It will be at the Faribault Senior Citizens Center, 19 W. Division St. Dinner served at 6 p.m. and $4 per person. Meeting at 7 p.m.

Class of 1966 first yearly gathering • 5 p.m., 1966 Class Members are having their first yearly gathering as a pizza party at Elks Club, 131 Lyndal Ave N. The party starts at 5 p.m. on Sept. 22 with no ending time in mind.

Cocktails and Colors • 7:30 p.m., The Northfield Historical Society is hosting a fun and colorful night at Loon Liquors called ‘Cocktails and Colors.’ NHS will provide participants with an opportunity to color their own vintage WWI patriotic poster.

Prairie Hike and Seed Collection • 12 a.m., Prairie Hike and Seed Collection is happening all day on Prairie Trail at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park.

This clinic is open for children and adults without insurance coverage for vaccines and for children 18 and younger on MA programs. Vaccines subject to availability.

Our next meal is: Scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, relishes, cinnamon roll.
